FRIDAY... Then a Nice long Weekend

It's Friday!! I'm so excited, feels like I've been working for weeks, but in fact I had a short week cause I worked last sat and was off sun/mon. OH well it's been the week from HELL here in the Data Operations group @ Toll. I'll be looking forward to relaxing tonight. Chris has to work the entire weekend 2 twelve hour days and 2 twelve hour nights ( 8pm-8am) which kinda puts the brakes on any holiday plans... we were gonna go to Boston, but unfortuantly Aliant had other plans :( oh well maybe some other time this summer. We have booked our tickets too for vacation to Newfoundland, I'll be home on the 16th-22nd of July. My parents are excited and so are we... I can't wait to see my dog "Kieley". Hope everyone has a good weekend and get out and enjoy the sun. " Happy Canada Day Weekend"

I GOT ON BASE

Tonight was a success, I finally made it to first base. Although our team lost tonight to the "Hummers" I accomplished a lot.. I've been frustrated not getting on base.. but tonight the slump ended, I finally helped the team out... it was a close game 10-8. I'm very tired, need a shower and a smoothie :) Nite.

Exhausted!!!

I'm trying to recover today from the workday from Hell yesterday. I got into work and we were short so many people... there wasn't enough people in to count, needless to say it sucked really bad. But I got threw it and hopefully today will be a better day. After work yesterday I got home and cooked supper really fast, I had promised Patrick that I would take him shopping for stuff for his new place. Oh, yeah Patrick and Ryan are moving into their own apartments, Ryan is going to live with Stephanie. I can't believe it!!!! Patrick is still staying in our building just in a one bedroom apartment, actually facing the same view as my previous apartment I had... should be really nice. We went to Bayers Lake and by 8:30pm we were done.. thank god, I hate shopping. Got home and Chris was watching the Red Sox game on the computer and listening to the same game on the radio... lol. What a red sox nut!! Hope everyone has a good day... and hopefully tonight at our ballgame the Toll Mega Hertz will win.... let's hope. :)

Strawberries

Today was a great day Chris and I were both off. We slept in and I cooked breakfast, bacon, eggs, toast and coffee.. YUM. Then we got ready and headed to the Valley in search of a U-Pick for stawberries. We first stopped in wolfville and went to the lookout... U can see the entire valley from up there it was beautiful. I've got a pic of it... but it's a little dark, taken with my phone. We then went to find a U-pick... driving through Wolfville and then New Minas, not finding one that was open. We stopped @ a couple of farmers markets.. they were still selling the local stawberries for 3.50$... so we kept driving. We ended up getting them for 2.19$ a quart @ "Averey's so we bought 3 quarts... they were by far the best stawberries we have had since last year in California @ the outdoor farmers market. I love stawberries. We got back around 4, had some supper then out to the basketball court to shoot some hoops, except it was already filled up, so we ended up at Point Pleasant park for a walk. I'm pretty tired now going to go and relax, have a snack and sleep... have a good nite :)

Rainy Day Again

So of course it's the weekend and it's raining again.... what else is new. I worked yesterday so that wasn't so bad, I was off today and again tomorrow.. hopefully it will be sunny. I never did too much today just stuff around the apartment and cooked Chris's favorite rainy day food "Beef Stew" for supper with Red Wine. We then went for a drive to look at areas for houses.. tonight we went out towards Waverly, Fall River and Enfield. It's pretty frustrating we can't find anything that we like @ all. Tomorrow weather permitting I want to go to the valley to pick some stawberries, hopefully the weather will co-operate. Have a good night.. I'm off to fold what seems like the 100th load of laundry today.

Sunday Shopping

So tomorrow is the last sunday that the grocery stores will be able to open if the government gets there way. They closed the loop hole that the stores were using to open on sundays. I think it's ridiculous... are we the only province in the country with no sunday shopping???? We need to get with the times, this is the year 2006. Every person who is against sunday shopping better go to church every sunday, since they think it's such a holy day. Anyway, I'll be out tomorrow to get my groceries since today I'm working on a saturday. Hopefully the public will speak up and help the big stores remain open, I don't think anyone can argue that the demand is there. Well so far @ work it's pretty quiet..... I hope it stays that way until 4:30. Tonight is gonna be a lazy night, Chris is working until 8 and I need to work out really bad, I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow... long overdue. Maybe if it's nice we will go for a walk on the waterfront. Everyone have a good sat and enjoy the weekend!!!!

My Pizza Dough Recipe

Here is my no fail recipe.. I've used it for years and it works everytime.

2 cups of flour
1 cup of luke warm water
1 pkg Fast Rising Yeast
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp. of olive oil

Put yeast and sugar in the measuring cup with 1 cup of luke warm water… let it get foamy.
In the food processor.. flour, salt and oil.. then add the water/yeast mixture. Blend until it forms a ball… if it’s not forming a ball and it’s too wet.. add a little bit of flour…. If it’s too dry, add some water. Just watch it to form a ball.

Put the dough in a greased bowl with plastic wrap over it… and wrap it up with a cloth to keep it warm. Usually about an hour to rise. Enjoy. I've been experimenting with pizza.. cooked right on the BBQ. It's awesome. ENJOY !!

red eyes

So this morning I woke up to my eyes bloodshot, and no I wasn't out partying last night. I guess something last night really bothered my allergies... I hope it gets better throughout the day. Last night was a lazy night, cooked supper, watched the food network, worked out for 45 min and lots of laundry. Man after saying all that.. I guess I wasn't that lazy. Chris has some new games for his xbox 360. Looks like the weekend will be shitty weather so maybe I'll try my hand at the new race car game he has :) Today is friday, except I still have to work tomorrow, so no sleeping in.. hope it's not too busy. Hope to have a good day. Tonite is BBQ pizza night.. yum.

Just got home from the big ball game. Chris and I are just sitting down watching a show on PBS about Mexico. It's the newest destination we want to visit... and some day RETIRE. In a nice little villa on the Gulf of Mexico.... sipping a margaritta. Oh that would be really nice right about now... instead I'll have to settle for a glass of pomegrante sparking drink. It's my new favorite drink, it would be nice mixed with some rum!!!!! It was a nice night for a Ballgame, hot weather and a nice cool breeze. What I wasn't expecting was that the Repair Rebels were going to show up with their A game and be the next Boston Red Sox.... they kicked our asses. So bad I lost count of the score.. lol, I think it ended 16-3. Oh well I guess it's back to practice hitting the ball again on sunday. Well that's all for tonite.. I'm off to relax, finish laundry and then sleep.

Good Morning

So Good morning, well not really it's foggy this morning but supposed to be beautiful this afternoon. so the Toll MegaHertz will be in full force tonight at the baseball field. I can't wait ... maybe we will even win :) Last nite was grocery nite, always seems like a big ordeal, do U ever wonder why the isles at a grocery store are really tiny.. and then they stick those crazy display stands around.. just to make our lives that much easier, and our carts that much bigger... Please put the groceries on the shelves where they belong. Well enough for ranting this morning, hopefully today will be a good day @ work. Look out!!! I'm gonna hit a home run tonite :)

The First Post

So, the only reason why I am doing this is to keep up with Carly and her every busy life :) She blogs everyday, so I decided it's time for me to get into the game as well. I'll be posting pics and trying to update as much as possible with things going on in my life. Hope everyone enjoys mine, just as much as I like to read about everyone else's lives.
