Dragon Fruit

So Monday night Chris and I went to Pete's Froutique in search of some strawberries for waffles today, since both of us were off. We bought a ton of fruit and also bought a "Dragon Fruit" to try... it was pretty yummy. It tastes like a kiwi but without that tarty kiwi taste.. it was pretty tasty and looks pretty cool too. Give it a try!!!!

Vegas Here we come!!!

So we are going back to Las Vegas for the second time in April :) we are really excited and can't wait to get away. The first time we visited we did the usual stuff.. went to The Grand Canyon, The Hoover dam and experienced the strip. This time we'll get to spend more time on the strip and take in a show and have really EXCELLENT FOOD.... I can't wait. Last time we were in Vegas the doctors didn't know what was wrong with my stomach, so I didn't get to enjoy the food, this time however things are different and I can't wait to taste all the yummy treats. I'll definatly take lots of pics. :) We are staying at the MGM grand Signature Hotel... it's very romantic :) Here's the link to the hotel.

So the weekend we painted the master bath.... here are a couple of pics, it's hard to get a pic of the whole room, but U get the picture of the colour. I guess I should of had the pictures in a different order..... obviously the white is before.

Happy Valentines Day

Hope everyone has a good Valentines Day... I already got my present from Chris this morning he had blown up 3 pictures from our trip to California, vegas and the grand canyon and framed them in black and white frames. I've been talking about it for a while and he did it for me.... he's such a sweet guy. I'm gonna hang them over my bed .. I think it will look really nice. Anyway, Have a good Valentines.

So the newest thing Cocoa has tryed is walking on the treadmill.... she's actually really good at it. It's pretty funny, we've been talking about trying it because it would be easy to exercise her.. well tonight off her and Chris went and she walked like crazy. It's hilarious, here are a few pics.

So I had been tagged by Carly last week, but just finally got a chance to post this. It took a while to come up with 5 weird or unusal things about myself but I did it.. not that there aren't more then 5. LOL. Carly is way better at it then I am. Here they are....

1. If I wasn't a Network Technician for Aliant in Data Operations right now... I would of been a chef.
2. I have a major case of road rage when I'm in Bayers lake.
3. I love to garden and have been doing it since I was like 10 years old... or from what I can remember... I was a nerdy teenager..lol.
4. I'll eat mostly anything EXCEPT Green Peppers, but love cooking with them for their flavour.. WEIRD :)
5. I style my hair everytime I get out of the shower even if I'm going to bed or going for a workout on the treadmill. I'm a strange girl.

Get Together in the New house

So saturday night a few people came over to see the new house. Sonja and Kevin, Carly, Rob, Ryan and steph... and Nick and his new girlfriend. For the rest of you that didn't show up.... we had lots of good food, wine and a very good time. I had made a hugh Cheese platter with 2 year old aged cheddar, havartti, brie and smoked gouda served with mixed nuts, dried apricots and bagette. I had also made home-made salsa, hummus with pita chips and of course HOT pepperoni. Red wine, Beer and the new Yellow Tail " bubbles" was also served... YUMMY. It was a nice night...... I'll probably do it again this summer which will be nice because you can go outside and overlook the lake and PARTY!!!! It was sooo good to see people I haven't seen in months we definatly need to get together more often and not for any special reason.... just because we want too. Oh and of course I have NO pics.. didn't even think about the camera.. maybe next time.

SICKY!!!!

So Since thursday night I've been in the bed and of course to the other place no-one wants to be @ 3am in the morning.... hugging the 0ld porcelain bowl. I've literaly had zero appetite, have had absolutly no engery and other things I didn't think were humanly possible ( but you definatly don't need to know details) I wouldn't wish this bug on anyone... I wanted to die on thursday evening when it first started. So of course like everything else, I get a call from Chris on Satursday from work... he's sick too, so both of us have had it, what a lovely weekend. Good news though, I've ate some food today so I should be good for work tomorrow and looking forward to this weekend.

Doggie Date

So on Saturday one of Chris's Co-workers Julian asked us to bring Cocoa over to his house for a playdate with his new puppy Ellie, she's 10 weeks old and also a lab with a little mix of collie. They both need a good ass kicking by a bigger dog!!!! They played for hours and still never got tired... but they did play well so that's good for us since we though Cocoa is a beast. The reason why I say that is because last week at Puppy School she was by far the worst puppy in class... but hopefully this week she'll be better, since she's been playing with other dogs more this week. Trying to train a really well behaved dog is a full time job!!! I know Carly's laughing cause she has 2 kids and I talk about the dog as if she's my baby..... lol, but she is for now. Anyway, here are a few of pics from Saturday afternoon.

28 Lbs

So Cocoa went to the Vet this morning and had her shots, she is now 28Lbs... very heavy. We start puppy school tomorrow night!!! Which will be good because for the most part were the ones going to school to learn.. not her. All those puppies in the same room, she'll be pretty tired tomorrow night :) it will be a good night sleep. Here's a couple of pics from this morning after we got back.

COLD

Today is the coldest day we've had all winter... and boy is it cold. This morning it was -20 outside with a windchill of -34 degrees, it was so cold that there was steam rising off the ocean when I wento over the bridge this morning to get to work. Right now it's warmed up a little... -18 with a windchill of -30 degrees.. the sun is out and it's a little warmer :)

SNOW in January

I can't believe that we finally had snow.. I'm not exactly over excited to see it, but it's kinda nice to be reminded that it's actually winter. It was a slippery night last night, went home from work @ around 5:30pm.. the traffic wasn't too bad, I got home @ 6pm, which surprised me because the way everyone was talking I thought I was gonna be stuck here at work. When I came back over the bridge @ 8 to pick Chris up from work... the roads weren't too bad and there weren't that many cars on the rd. 4 trips over the bridge yesterday, I think that's my limit. I think that most of the snow will be gone again today anyway... raining now!!!!

iPhone

I love the new iPhone that Apple released, it's awesome. I want one really bad!!!!! But Aliant's Network doesn't support the phone yet, so it might be awhile. I think it's really cool and convienent.. Music, Movies, Internet and phone.... Pretty Cool.

New GPS

So Chris went out after Christmas and bought himself a GPS... he's been wanting it for a long time and since we travel a lot, the GPS would make life a little easier when were in bigger cities. I love it... it's really small and U can listen to music and everything on it. In fact since I'm new to the dartmouth area I use it for that..lol. It's the Mio C310X and it's the cutest GPS, very small, light weight, mountable on the car dash and very user friendly with all touch menus on the screen. I love it!!!! it's our newest toy.

Congrats

So congratulations to one of my best friends home in Newfoundland... Dawn and Taylor are expecting their second baby!!! Due in June. Maybe it will be a boy this time.. Hannah Banana is the cutest, but she really needs a brother. It was pretty cute how she told her family, they made up t-shirts for Hannah with "I'm gonna be A BIG SISTER!!!" it was pretty funny. She sent me the pics with the Christmas card of Hannah in her shirt, I thought it was a pretty cool way to tell people.

Splash.... Splash

Splash, Splash I was taking a bath.... Here is a pic of Cocoa in the tub last night, she's a NUT when it comes to water. She barks to get in the tub... last night she went swiming in the tub. The pic is a little blurry, she wouldn't stay still and the batteries where dying in the camera.
